BHS At a glance
Bayless High School provides opportunities for students from all corners of the world to prepare for college and career success. Through the Portrait of a Bayless Graduate lens, each student is taught to be a Critical and Creative Thinker, Problem Solver, Collaborative Communicator and Global Citizen. Along with instruction in core education subjects (math, science, english, the arts and more), BHS has elective opportunities for all students to pursue.
College Now
Through a partnership with St. Louis Community College, BHS students can begin their college journey early and at a reduced cost. Enrollment can be full-time or part-time and counts for both high school and college credit. The Class of 2025 saved $431,257 dollars on college taking courses at STLCC, when compared to the average cost of taking the same number of credit hours at a state university in Missouri. Seven students of that class earned an associate's degree before graduating high school.
Jobs For America's Graduates
JAG at Bayless is an introduction to the trades, entrepreneurship and other professional skills that can start as early as middle school. Students visit and learn about a variety of career paths that will be a good fit for them.
